Geelong United Basketball is seeking ‘Expressions of Interest’ for multiple positions of ‘VJBL Trials Coordinator.’
These VJBL Trials Coordinators will be appointed exclusively for the duration the trial process and will oversee a specific age group to complete the following tasks:
- Coordinate age-group coach cohort for trials, including attendance at relevant domestic games.
- Attend and conduct on-court trial sessions.
- Assist in the final selection of athletes to appropriate teams.
- Assist in the appointment of coaches to selected teams.
The duration of this role is approximately four weeks, including the observation of two rounds of domestic basketball competition and two weekends of scheduled trial sessions. VJBL Trial Coordinators will execute their role in partnership with GUB Director of Coaching, Matthew Paton.
Please note: Appointment to a VJBL Trials Coordinator position does not exclude a candidate from consideration for a VJBL team coaching position. A candidate can complete their responsibilities as a VJBL Trials Coordinator before assuming a VJBL coaching role, should they be appointed to a team.
An honorarium will be offered to those appointed to this role.
