The HoopCity Supercats Women and Men have started off the season near perfectly, with two great games against the Keilor Thunder, check out how the games went down on Saturday night below, before grabbing your tickets for DeMarcus Gatlin’s 100th this Friday against Knox HERE.

HOOPCITY SUPERCATS WOMEN

It was a dominant display from Aimie Rocci on Saturday night as the HoopCity Supercats put on a scoring display continue their winning ways with a 3-1 record and have them sitting tied for 3rd on the NBL1 South ladder. Rocci was on a mission at the Geelong Arena as she poured in 37 points in just 33 minutes on an extremely efficient 14/18 shooting game, including a perfect 9/9 from inside the arc. A double digit lead in the first quarter for the Supercats set them up for a comfortable win coming away winners 101 – 87. While Rocci filled up the scoring column, Sara Blicavs was stuffing it recording 24/8/5/3/1 to ensure the Supercats stayed perfect at home. Off the bench Sarah O’Neill was a spark plug with 12 points going 4/4 from the 3 point line.

The Women will look towards this Friday nights blockbuster against Knox Raiders where they will look to maintain momentum and push for a top 2 spot on the ladder before travelling to Eltham to face the Wildcats on Saturday. Tickets are available for Friday night now, and can be purchased here.

HOOPCITY SUPERCATS MEN

Looking to maintain their undefeated record and top spot on the NBL1 ladder, the HoopCity Supercats men came up against a fierce Keilor Thunder. A close game throughout, Keilor Managed a late fourth quarter run before Gabe Hadley iced the game with a three to send the Thunder packing. With no Isaac Turner on the night, Matthew Johns’ was inserted into the line-up with his presence on the defensive end shining through. George Blagojevic was back to his MVP form posting a 29/13 double-double and was backed up well by Gabe Hadley’s 20 piece. DeMarcus Gatlin also is finding his footing ahead of his 100th game against Knox this Friday night grabbing 10 boards to go along with 12 points.

Sitting pretty at 4-0, the Men will look to continue their winning ways and cap off DeMarcus Gatlin’s 100th with the Supercats with a win. The Men will then hit the road to face the 0-3 Eltham wildcats and will look to improve their record to 6-0. Tickets for Friday nights clash are available for purchase here.
