SHARKS 96 – 42 TRY BOYS
Sharks made it 11 on the trot last night as they easily took care of the Bears in round 13. A close first quarter saw an 8-point lead balloon to 29 by half-time. By the end of the game, the Sharks had pulled away for the easy 54-point win. Georgia Varley led the way for the Sharks with 37 while Kate Duff’s 27 backed her up nicely. Kayla Blazko was best for the bears with 16.
PIVOT CITY 86 – 51 YMCA
Pivot have continued their winning ways with a big win over YMCA in game number 2 of the evening. Leading by just 5 at the quarter-time break, the team put on the jets and heading into the 4th maintained a 19 point lead, ultimately grabbing the 34-point win. Eve Braslis led the way with 36 for Pivot while Taylah Richard’s 11 was best for YMCA.
WILDCATS 62 – 38 SURFCOASTERS
Wildcats have picked up a quality win over Surfcoasters in round 13. A defensive masterclass in the first quarter saw the Cats take a 15-3 lead, setting them up for a comfortable 24-point win. Sarah Elsworthy was dominant with 26 to lead all scorers, while Jasmine King chipped in 12.
PIVOT CITY 95 – 66 VYTIS
Pivot has maintained their second spot on the ladder with a dominant win over Vytis in round 13. Keeping within striking distance heading into the 4th, Pivot put on the clamps, outscoring the Knights by 12 to claim an important 29-point victory. Cohen Blythe was on fire with 36 while James Osborne had 21 all from the 3-point line for Vytis.
SURFCOASTERS 91 – 79 SG KINGS
Surfcoasters have come away with a crucial 12-point win to keep their finals hopes alive in 2022 downing the SG Kings in round 13. A close game through the first half, the Coasters were able to create a buffer ultimately being able to grab the W. Jack Omran led the way with 27 while William Macpherson collected 19.
YMCA 98 – 75 TRY BOYS
YMCA have come away with a big win over Try Boys with an even scoring attack taking down the red hot bears. Jumping out to a 16-point 1st quarter lead, Y was able to maintain their lead throughout the game coming away 23-point winners. Jack Terrill’s 22 was best for the Y while Matt Johns continued his fine form with 30.
CC EAGLES 91 – 56 SHARKS
Christian College ran away big winners last night as they dismantled the Sharks to the tune of 35 points. Leading by just 11 at the half, Liam McInerney and co. put on the burners outscoring the Sharks by 24 points to grab a much-needed win. Jamieson Hultgren’s 23 was best while Lachie Wilson’s 20 led the way for the Sharks.
ROVERS 94 – 85 LARA
In an absolute scoring explosion, Nathan Gronbeck has led his team to an impressive win to maintain their hopes of a finals campaign. A close game throughout with no team leading by double figures, it was Gronbeck’s 53 points included 9 threes that ensured a win for Rovers. For Lara, it was Seth Garcia’s 26 that led the way.
