Riding a four-game winning streak, the Navexa Geelong United Youth League men’s team will look to consolidate its spot inside the Big V Youth League 1 top six when it travels to Craigieburn on Saturday night.
After conquering last week’s Bendigo-Coburg road-home double, Luke Beard’s roster now sits fourth on the ladder with a 4-1 win-loss record.
The Eagles have just one win for the season.
With the Hoop City Geelong United Supercats in NBL1 action on Saturday night, Beard is unlikely to have access to Jack Moran, Jack Terrill, Jay Posterino and Marach March.
Geelong United Youth League Women will also head up the highway to play Craigieburn on Saturday night.
They will then return home to Geelong Arena for a match-up with Sunbury on Sunday.
Like Jason Bannerman’s roster, the Eagles have a 2-3 record, while the Jets are 1-5.
Big Georgia Cox will feature at NBL1 level on Saturday night but could be available on Sunday to help add size to Geelong United’s frontline.
Kalya Blazko will be hoping to carry the form that earned her a spot on the Big V’s Blue Carpet for Youth League 1 Women after two solid performances last weekend.
That included a 13-point, 18-rebound effort in the win over Coburg.
Tickets for the Youth League Women’s match are available at the door via card payment only.
