Georgia Varley has exploded for 50 points asΒ SharksΒ kept its unbeaten start to the Geelong United Basketball Women’s Championship season alive with a 96-36 victory against Try Boys.

Varley landed nine three-pointers in her haul at AWA Alliance Bank Stadium.

Fellow guards Cortney Hollowood (15 points) and Alex Duck (12 points) also made solid contributions.

Shania Soutar battled hard for 15 points for the Bears.

Eve Braslis has proved the difference as Pivot City outlasted Christian College Eagles 83-64 at AWA.

Braslis, who has made a stunning start to the NBL1 season with the Geelong United Supercats, piled on 41 points.

Fellow Supercat Ella Tofaeono provided quality support with 17 points.

Twenty-two points from Summer Field best served the Eagles, while Ash Withers contributed 20.

The clash between Wildcats and Surfcoasters was abandoned due to water on the court at Geelong Arena.
