Seventeen Geelong United Basketball (GUB) athletes will get a first taste of high-performance basketball at the annual Country Victoria under-12 Jamboree.
Eight boys and nine girls are among the 240 youngsters – 120 boys and 120 girls – selected for this year’s event in Echuca following recent skills days that attracted 1200 participants across Victoria.
To be held from September 16-19, the Jamboree features training sessions and tournament-style play across the four days.
Meanwhile, expressions of interest for coaching and team manager positions at the Jamboree are now open.
