RL Signs Geelong United Basketball Women’s Winter Championship | Round 14 Wrap

Pivot City and Wildcats have produced the first draw of the RL Signs Geelong United Basketball Women’s Winter Championship season after finishing locked on 52 at AWA Alliance Bank Stadium on Tuesday night.

Wildcats held a two-point lead with less than ten seconds remaining.

However, star big Ella Tofaeono was fouled on a late move to the basket, and she calmly slotted both free throws to level proceedings.

Wildcats had a late chance to steal the game after advancing the ball following a timeout.

However, Tess Norman’s forced shot didn’t drop, and the two teams had to settle for a share of the points.

Tofaeono finished with 23 points for 2nd-placed Pivot, which was without Eve Braslis, Shayna Poto and Miley Dawkins.

Norman was the best for the third-placed Wildcats with 19 points. They were missing Sarah Elsworthy, Chantelle Hall and Jaimee Crombie.
