Just the one game for both sides across the weekend.

For the women, after a slow start in the first half, they came out firing after the main break to run away by 18 points over Launceston.

The men weren’t so lucky though, in what was a back and forth contest, they were bested in the final minutes by NW Tasmania.

Women:

Geelong 88 – Launceston 70

Shaneice Swain – 29PTS, 7 REB, 9 AST
Lasha Petree – 21 PTS, 6 REB, 3 STL
Sarah Elsworthy – 18 PTS, 4 REB, 3 STL

Men:

Latrell Jones – 24 PTS, 7 REB, 4 STL
DeMarcus Gatlin – 13 PTS, 9 REB, 10 AST

It’s a road double header for both sides this weekend, as we make the long trip over the SA border to face Mt Gambier on Friday night, then back on the road to Eltham on Sunday afternoon.
