Geelong United Basketball (GUB) is pleased to announce the signing of Dakota Crichton for the upcoming NBL1 South season commencing in March of 2025.
Currently a development player for Geelong’s WNBL side, Dakota has made the decision to remain in Geelong following the end of the current WNBL season to continue her journey within the Geelong United pathway system.
Originally from Warrnambool, this will be Dakota’s first NBL1 stint, having previously suited up for the Warrnambool Mermaids in Big V competition.
Dakota now joins five of her fellow WNBL teammates on the new look NBL1 Women’s roster, alongside Jaz Shelley, Hannah Hank, Taylor Mole, Gemma Potter and Tanielle Knight.
“It’s really good to play with such experienced players. I’m learning a lot from them,” Dakota said of her teammates. “I understand that I’m still quite young, I’ve probably got a lot of work to do so I’m just going to take every opportunity that comes my way.”
