Geelong United Basketball (GUB) is pleased to announce the signing of Jaz Shelley for the upcoming NBL1 South season commencing in March of 2025.
The 5 foot 9 guard has made the decision to stay in Geelong following the current WNBL season, a place that she previously called home during the inaugural NBL1 season in 2019, playing one season for Geelong before heading off to college. “Geelong has changed, and I have changed a lot since I was last here – I’m not a little scrawny high school kid anymore. But it’s been pretty cool to get back here, I love this town and this community.”
Currently playing a key role in Geelong’s first season as part of the WNBL, Jaz will add plenty of offensive punch to the squad, with the former WNBA draft pick known for her quick trigger three point shooting.
Five more of Jaz’s fellow WNBL teammates will join her in our 2025 NBL1 Women’s side, with additional announcements to come every weekday through until Christmas Eve.
