Owen Odigie Extends for 2025 NBL1 South Season

Owen Odigie has officially extended his run with Geelong United into NBL1 South season 2025.

Putting pen to paper for another year after an injury hampered 2024 season, Owen will be looking to build on the form he began to establish after returning from a month on the shelf in the middle of the 2024 campaign.

In his 12 outings last year, Owen averaged 5.83 points, 1.33 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game, including a 14 point effort against Waverley in the teams’ last game on home floor for the season.

“It’s great to sign on for another year in Geelong,” Owen said. “I’m excited to get the season underway, especially with the roster that has been put together.”

Speaking on said roster, Owen believes there’s big things in store for the team this year, “We’ve got most of the core guys coming back, along with a few new additions who add a lot of value to the team,” Owen said. “I’m eager to see us all gel together and build up to what should be a fun season.
