Geelong United Basketball (GUB) is proud to welcome Stockland on board as our new NBL1 major sponsor and naming rights partner.
Under the partnership, Stockland will also help to bolster funding towards the team awards, facility management, customer service, referee retention and development, and first aid training.
Stockland Development Director Jackie Kent said Stockland is proud to be continuing its partnership with GUB and further investing in the development of community sport – “For over 70 years, Stockland has been a leading creator of communities that are full of energy, soul and life. The NBL1 plays a role in bringing the Geelong community together, and we are proud to support the growth of basketball in the region via our ongoing partnership with GUB,” Ms Kent said.
GUB General Manager of Partnerships and Marketing Connie Bolger said the association is delighted to receive support from Stockland – “We work hard to give back to our community, and having the support of local businesses is an important element in allowing us to do this. Stockland’s partnership means we can focus on driving the growth of basketball in the region and increasing participation” Ms Bolger said.
Stockland has a growing footprint in the Geelong region:
Stockland Banksia is a masterplanned community located in Armstrong Creek, between Geelong CBD and the Surf Coast. Armstrong Creek is one of Victoria’s fastest growing suburbs, well-connected to Geelong’s vibrant city centre, and is surrounded by schools, shops and transport links.
Stockland Halcyon Horizon is a community designed for over 55s living, located in Armstrong Creek, in a hidden pocket of Horseshoe Bend Road. It has easy access to shopping, medical centres, and recreation nearby, as well as luxurious resort-quality facilities within walking distance of homes.
