WNBL UPDATE:
Our team had their first taste of WNBL competition over the weekend, playing a selection of preseason games in the first annual HoopsFest extravaganza over in sunny Perth.
The Geelong United squad, made up of up an coming Victorian talent, had a great game against Townsville, falling short by just 6 points (78-72), while the second contest against Canberra was a little more one sided, but still with some great signs of a bright future for women’s basketball in Victoria.

The fixture for the upcoming season has officially been released! Get ready to lock all our home games into your calendar as we look to have the Geelong Arena rocking for all 10 regular season home games.
BEYOND BANK PARTNERSHIP:
Geelong United Basketball (GUB) are thrilled to announce that AWA Alliance Bank has officially merged with Beyond Bank, bringing together two community-focused organizations dedicated to making a positive impact.
As part of this exciting transition, GUB are proud to unveil that the Geelong United Basketball Belmont Stadium will now be known as Beyond Bank Stadium.

Summer basketball season is fast approaching, and now is the time to register to play!
Social team entries are now open, but will be closing this Sunday September 29 at 5pm –ย so get a team together and register now!

Does your child have a passion for the sport & recreation industry?
Complete Years 11 and 12 at SEDA College, and combine their passion for Sport whilst completing their secondary education.

GEELONG UNITED ANNUAL TOURNAMENT – KORR KORR NGITJI:
GUB will once again be holding a celebration of our sport byย Coming Togetherย (Waddawurrung: Korr Korr Ngitji) at a festival of basketball this November!
Now in its third year, the tournament will be held this coming November across the six venues that host Geelong Unitedโs community games each week.
Over the course of the weekend, teams will play a minimum of four games against other VJBL clubs, country associations and community teams from across the nation.
In addition to the tournament, GUB will also be holding several development clinics and courses directed at community and club coaching, score table officials, and referees.

GEELONG UNITED ANNUAL TOURNAMENT – REFEREES EXPRESSION OF INTEREST:
GUB will once again be holding a celebration of our sport by Coming Togetherย (Waddawurrung: Korr Korr Ngitji) at a festival of basketball this November!
But we need your help to make all the games across the weekend run as smoothly as possible.
Expressions of interest are now open to join this years referee ranks, giving you the opportunity to ref multiple games paired with fantastic per game pay rates!

This World Mental Health Day, join us at GMHBA Stadium for a unique yoga experience that blends tranquility with community spirit.
Whether youโre an experienced yogi or just starting out, this event is about more than just yoga. Itโs a chance to connect, support each other, and embrace movement and mindfulness in a supportive setting.

- What:ย A mass Yoga event for up to 2000 people on GMHBA Stadium

- Why:ย This event will run on World Mental Health Day to highlight the importance of physical activity and social connection on mental health outcomes.

Who:ย The event is a collaboration between two NFP organisations, Read the Play & Active Geelong, and will act as a fundraiser for their important work in advocating for physical activity and positive mental health in the region. The event is supported by Plan Group, Beyond Bank, Kardinia Park Stadium Trust, GMHBA, Times News Group, City of Greater Geelong and Kempe Engineering.
