Aussie Hoops provides boys and girls with a fun and safe Basketball experience that introduces a lifetime of involvement in the game. In addition to promoting healthy and active lifestyles, the program serves as a platform for social development and inclusion – fostering stronger and more vibrant communities and individuals.

Geelong United Basketball is running 8-week programs each term. Our coaches are committed to teaching and helping the participants grown and develop a foundation of skills making, them ready for the next step in their basketball pathway.

COVID19 Restrictions:

All participants can bring ONE (1) Parent/guardian in with them(Dependants are excluded from this number). Parents/Guardians must be socially distanced and adhere to instructions given by the Biosafety Officer.

All Spectators must wear a mask inside the stadium. This is a condition of entry for all GUB venues.

All participants and parents/guardians must sign in on arrival. Parents/Guardians can use the QR code on entry at stadiums to fill out a form. Biosafety officers or the Coach will have a list for the participants—this a condition of entry to every venue.

All participants must bring their basketball and sanitise it on entry. All participants and parent/guardian must sanitise their hand’s open entry. All participants must enter through the designated entrance at each venue.

Once the session has finished participants and parent/guardians must leave the venue quickly.

Public water fountains and Change Rooms will be closed.

All these restrictions are subject to change, and all participants and parent/guardians must adhere to instructions given to them by the Biosafety Officer at all times.

All restrictions may change at any time as per the Victorian government’s discretion.

Pack Information:

From term 1 2021 all NEW Aussie Hoops participants will receive a new and improved participant pack. This pack will provide children with the essential items required to begin their basketball journey. The Participant Pack includes:

  • Size 4 Spalding Basketball– Modified to suit smaller hands and modelled on Basketball Australia’s official game ball.
  • Personalise Aussie Hoops singlet– With your child’s name and Local Aussie Hoops delivery centre logo.
  • Aussie Hoops Backpack– Because every young baller needs something to carry their basketball gear in!
  • Sticker Sheet – Featuring all 8 of the Women’s National Basketball League (WNBL) teams.

Participants pack are dispatched within 24 hours of the registration being submitted. Packs can be expected to arrive within 7-10 business days.

Session Information:

First-time participants price: $90 for the eight sessions

Returning participants price: $65 for the eight sessions
